SUMMARY:IdeaJAM: Innovative Healthcare Delivery in Rural Areas
DESCRIPTION:Join us for IdeaJAM: Come and learn about the opportunities and challenge in rural healthcare delivery\, and try your hand at developing a new solution to this pressing issue. \nOn March 28th from 12pm-4pm\, we’re hosting IdeaJAM—an interactive ideation event designed to ignite creative thinking around improving healthcare access in rural communities. Rural populations often face barriers such as limited healthcare facilities\, long travel distances\, and provider shortages. New technologies\, community resources\, and medical expertise can be employed in innovative ways to provide transformative opportunities to bridge these gaps. \nThe afternoon will feature an insightful panel discussion with a complimentary lunch\, and dedicated time to collaborate and brainstorm with fellow students\, practitioners\, and community members. Participants will join randomized teams\, and work together to develop a new\, innovative concept. Each team will give a short pitch of their idea for the chance to win a $500 cash prize. \nThis is your chance to connect\, ideate\, and help shape the future of rural healthcare! \nFor CAMD and Bouvé Students: We will reimburse travel (bus or train) for the first 30 students to register and attend. Through hands-on activities\, participants engage in customer discovery exercises and basic prototyping\, applying these skills to tackle real-world challenges. \nThe program’s goal is to introduce participants to the design-thinking framework and empower them to use this innovative approach to generate creative\, practical solutions to complex problems. IdeaJam offers a dynamic environment where participants can think critically\, collaborate\, and turn insights into actionable ideas.
