SUMMARY:How Do You Get Employees Using AI Effectively Every Day? Why Experiential Learning Drives Lasting Behavior Change
DESCRIPTION:Giving employees access to AI tools does not mean they will use them effectively\, responsibly\, or consistently. Even a successful course can have limited impact if employees return to work without changing their habits. \nFor Northeastern University’s Custom Learning team\, behavior change means more than increased AI usage. It means employees can recognize where AI is appropriate\, apply it to their work\, evaluate what it produces\, and make better decisions about when to use it\, when to question it\, and when not to use it at all. \nDuring our recent AI in Action event\, From AI Panic to AI Progress\, one leader asked: \n“What is the best way to get 1\,000 employees thinking about and using AI in some form every day?” \nThis next installment in the AI in Action series takes that question one step further: How do you help employees use AI regularly while also using it effectively? \nNortheastern University’s Zach Blattner\, director of partner products and programs and Berkeley Almand-Hunter\, technical director for partner programs\, will explain how experiential\, role-relevant learning helps employees move from learning about AI to applying it confidently in their everyday work. They will examine the conditions that turn learning into lasting behavior\, including hands-on practice\, immediate relevance\, responsible-use guidance\, manager reinforcement\, and opportunities for continued application. \nFrom Learning to Behavior Change\nEffective AI learning should change more than what employees know. It should change how they work: \n\nRecognizing tasks and workflows where AI could add value\nChoosing when AI is appropriate and when it is not\nApplying AI to role-specific work\nEvaluating outputs instead of accepting them automatically\nRefining approaches based on results\nSharing and reinforcing better practices across teams\n\nWhat You’ll Learn\n\nWhy tool access and course completion are not the same as workforce capability\nHow experiential learning helps employees transfer new skills into real work\nWhat builds confidence without encouraging overreliance on AI\nHow relevance\, practice\, feedback\, and repetition contribute to behavior change\nWhat leaders and managers can do to reinforce effective AI practices\nHow to measure changes in application\, judgment\, workflows\, and performance\n\nWho Should Attend\nDesigned for executives\, HR and learning leaders\, transformation and innovation teams\, department leaders\, and others responsible for building workforce AI capability. \nMove beyond counting licenses\, course completions\, or isolated experiments. Join the next AI in Action conversation to learn how organizations can help employees use AI well and turn learning into lasting workplace behavior.

SUMMARY:AI Ready or Risky? An Executive Working Session for Leaders Pursuing AI
DESCRIPTION:Your organization has identified an opportunity for AI. But is the business ready to move it forward? \nAI Ready or Risky? is an invitation-only working session for C-level executives and equivalent enterprise leaders whose organizations are actively evaluating\, piloting\, implementing\, or scaling an AI initiative. Unlike a traditional conference\, this is a facilitated working experience. Each participant will arrive with one specific AI initiative and examine it across four areas that can determine whether it moves forward successfully: \nBusiness Value and ROI\nIs the initiative connected to a meaningful business need? Are its expected value\, costs\, measures of success\, and ownership clear? \nPeople Readiness\nDo employees\, managers\, and leaders have the skills\, support\, confidence\, and ways of working required to adopt it? \nData Readiness\nIs the necessary data available\, usable\, trustworthy\, and appropriate for the proposed application? \nGovernance and Access\nCan the organization manage access\, oversight\, accountability\, security\, and responsible use as the initiative advances? \nHow the working session works\nParticipants will move through the four readiness areas in small cohorts. At each station\, experts will introduce key considerations\, share practical examples\, and guide participants in applying focused questions to the initiative they brought with them. \nThroughout the session\, attendees will capture their findings on a personalized AI Readiness Card\, provided in both physical and digital formats. The completed card will provide a practical view of what is already in place\, where gaps remain\, and which questions or decisions must be addressed next. \nYou will leave with: \n• A clearer view of your initiative’s readiness across four critical areas\n• Greater visibility into the risks and unresolved questions that could impede progress\n• Practical guidance from experts in AI strategy\, workforce adoption\, data\, governance\, and security\n• A completed AI Readiness Card to support conversations with your leadership team\n• A more focused set of priorities and next steps for advancing your initiative \nWho should attend\nThis working session is designed for C-level executives and equivalent enterprise leaders who: \n• Hold decision-making responsibility for an organizational AI initiative\n• Are currently evaluating\, piloting\, implementing\, or scaling AI\n• Are prepared to bring one specific initiative to examine during the session\n• Want a practical\, cross-functional assessment rather than an introductory discussion about AI \nAttendance is limited to preserve the small-group\, interactive format. Invitation requests will be reviewed for alignment with the intended executive audience and working-session experience. \nWhat You’ll Leave With\nThis is a working session\, not a traditional panel discussion. You’ll leave with: \n\nA completed AI Readiness Card for the specific initiative you brought to the event\nA clearer view of where your initiative is ready to move forward and where risk or unanswered questions remain\nExpert guidance across business value and ROI\, people readiness\, data readiness\, and governance and access\nA focused set of priorities and next steps to take back to your organization\nNew connections with fellow executives navigating similar AI decisions\n\n*Invitation-only for C-level and equivalent leaders pursuing an active AI initiative.
