Benjamin Chesler

Director of Venture Creation and Acceleration

Benjamin Chesler is the director of venture creation and acceleration at the Roux Institute. Chesler has more than ten years of experience creating and scaling mission-driven businesses across the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Most recently, he founded Imperfect Foods, the largest mission-driven online grocery store in the country, which allowed him to focus on scaling a business as well as reducing as much food waste as possible. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Chesler technically has a BA in Economics from Brown University, but what Brown really taught him was how to launch impact-focused businesses and understand your customer. After a stint in the Bay Area, he could not be more proud to call Maine home (although he accepts he will never be a true “Mainer”). When he’s not on campus, you can find him off wandering in the woods, floating on a river, or in the back of a theatre hanging lights. He lives in Yarmouth with his wife and dog.
