Shabeer Ahmad Rather

Shabeer is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Roux Institute in the Bioengineering department at Northeastern University. Earned his doctorate in Biochemistry from Panjab University Chandigarh India and his Bachelor’s from the University of Kashmir Srinagar India. During his Ph.D. studies, he worked on research projects “Frequencies of circulating T helper subsets in Rheumatoid arthritis and “Studies on the anti-cariogenic potential of dextransucrase antibodies against Streptococcus mutans. Research interests at the Roux Institute at Northeastern University are signaling networks implicated in cancers and the mechanisms that contribute towards the emergence of resistance in cancer to therapeutics. Outside of research, he enjoys exploring nature, long walks, running, and hiking.
