Building precision at micro/nanoscale
Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering
Professor Jin harnesses AI and machine learning to enhance the monitoring and control of high-precision manufacturing processes used to create micro– and nano-electronics and quantum devices. These molecule-sized electronic components are revolutionizing a variety of fields—from energy storage, medicine, and healthcare to computing and environmental sensing.
Jin recently won a five-year National Science Foundation Early CAREER award for her work to develop an artificial intelligence and machine learning-assisted technology framework for high precision, advanced manufacturing processes. She holds a doctorate in industrial and operations engineering from University of Michigan.
