Data for Social Good is a student-led organization at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute that promotes quantitative solutions for societal challenges and connects people with data experience to organizations serving our community. Each year, partner organizations bring us analytics challenges from across the state of Maine and our teams collaborate on these projects.
Our club is always looking for new projects in the community and our members want to hear about your organization’s challenges. Whether you’ve worked with us in the past and want to put some faces to names, or you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could pick someone’s brain about this data headache,” we want to meet you!
This isn’t a traditional networking event; this is about fostering connections and exploring partnerships that can lead to successful projects down the road. Here’s what you can expect at the event:
•Brief welcome and remarks
•Informal discussions on how data can be harnessed to address community needs
•Opportunities to learn more about projects the team is currently spearheading
•Refreshments and small bits to keep the conversations flowing
Whether you’re a non-profit leader or someone who’s simply curious about the intersection of data and social good, we welcome you to join us!
