Liv Hunter EHS Program Manager, Roux Institute
Liv manages the Environmental Health and Safety program at the Roux Institute, overseeing safety compliance, environmental regulatory programs, and lab safety operations across all three Maine-based sites.
She brings over 15 years of experience spanning federal service with the U.S. Army — supporting environmental regulatory compliance and assessments — and high-hazard manufacturing, where she managed combustible dust operations, emergency management, and OSHA compliance programs. Her approach centers on behavior-based safety: building systems and culture that reduce incidents proactively rather than reactively.
At the Roux, Liv works to make safety practical, accessible, and aligned with the pace of a growing research environment.
