The Roux Institute creates deep partnerships with K-12 and community organizations throughout the state of Maine, leveraging our strengths and expertise to support missions and increase positive outcomes.
We collaborated with aligned K12 organizations and develop systematic ways to support a significant number of community-based organizations by leveraging our unique strengths and assets, namely: our students, our faculty, our staff, and our campus in our core areas of expertise: computer science, data analytics, AI/ML, project management, engineering, life sciences, and entrepreneurship.
The Roux Institute hosts a yearly Girls Who Code summer camp, inviting students from around Maine to learn from our faculty about robotics and programming.
Roux community members share their time and expertise to support a specific community ask.
In partnership with Educate Maine, the Maine Mobile Bioscience Lab travels the state, introducing students to bioscience tools and techniques.
Community Experiential Networks Projects, or “Community XNs” are projects in which a Northeastern graduate class collaborates with a local organization, using their expertise and curriculum to help the organization solve a business challenge.
Let’s strengthen our Maine communities, together.
