Director of Entrepreneurship

Chris Torina is the Director – Roux Entrepreneurship at the Roux Institute, where he is dedicated to advancing and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem here in Maine. With over 25 years of diverse experience, Torina has held leadership roles across various industries, including as founder and CEO of DeepStacks, one of the world’s leading gaming entertainment brands. After its acquisition by the World Poker Tour, Torina transitioned into the role of Executive Director, where he spearheaded significant domestic and international initiatives.

Prior to his role at the Roux Institute, Torina was the Chief Operating Officer of Blue Fusion Capital, a private equity real estate firm. He also spent over a decade in law enforcement, working as an undercover narcotics task force agent and SWAT team operator before transitioning to entrepreneurship and executive leadership.

In his free time, Torina coaches youth sports, serves on his local town’s economic development advisory board and enjoys spending time with family and friends. He recently relocated from Los Angeles to Yarmouth, where he lives with his wife, Kat, and their son, Carter.
