Debbie Murray is a multifaceted business owner and entrepreneur professional with deep experience in project leadership and a passion for fostering growth—both organizational and personal. At Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, she is a lecturer on Project Management and Agile, having worked in both methodologies for over a decade each.
Murray’s professional journey spans program management consulting roles at many notable Maine organizations: TD Bank, WEX Inc., Tilson, the State of Maine, IDEXX, and Covetrus, where she guided teams through transformative bank acquisitions, implemented portfolio management systems, completed multiple SAP and Salesforce integrations, managed data center moves, and most recently has developed years of experience in product management. Agnostic in the technology she can manage, Murray’s ability to navigate complex initiatives has earned her a reputation as a leader who can organize and motivate a team to deliver.
In addition to running her business as a technology project manager consultant, Murray is a licensed psychotherapist with a thriving clinical practice in Yarmouth, Maine. Through this work, she brings compassion and deep listening to support individuals in navigating life’s challenges—a skillset that also informs her approach to leadership and team dynamics.
She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colby College. She has been certified in her career as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), and an Agile Certified Professional (ACP).
Murray fell in love with Maine as an 18-year-old freshman at Colby College, captivated by its natural beauty and close-knit communities. After college, her love of basketball led her into coaching and the pursuit of her MBA at Boston University, before she returned to Maine to put down roots. Today, her greatest joy and priority in life is her role as a mother to three amazing, emerging adults.
