The Graduate Certificate in Omics offers students an understanding of genomic technologies and computational approaches used in prognostics, diagnostics, and treatment, focusing on analysis and interpretation of cellular data.

Opportunities for experiential learning will be concentrated in Portland, the state of Maine, and the Northeast region. Program Objectives

Unlock Genomic Advances

Students will develop a detailed understanding of the key genomic technologies and computational approaches that are driving advances in prognostics, diagnostics, and treatment, learning how scientists sequence, assemble, and analyze the function and structure of genomes.
The certificate allows students to explore methods for determining traits and diseases by studying the larger population, as well as how gene identification can help identify targets for therapeutic intervention.
Students who are already in the field or have an interest in the field will significantly benefit from this curriculum.

English language proficiency:
- Degree earned or in progress at a U.S. institution
- Degree earned or in progress at an institution where English is the only medium of instruction
- Official exam scores from either the TOEFL iBT (institution code is 3682), IELTS, PTE exam, or Duolingo English Test. Scores are valid for 2 years from the test date.
