Jason Mitchell

Adjunct Lecturer, Project Management

Jason Mitchell is an adjunct lecturer in Project Management at the Roux Institute.  Mitchell is an operations management executive, entrepreneur, and consultant with a passion for leading in complex environments. He has 20+ years of experience in various operations management roles working for General Dynamics in shipbuilding, new construction, and repair.  He also has experience in aquaculture technology and business development for finfish, shellfish, and seaweed.  Currently, Mitchell is the Principal/Founder of Steamboat Road Consulting, an operations management consulting firm offering services to improve and integrate people, processes, technology, and business systems in Portland, Maine.

Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master of Science in Business Administration, Production, and Operations Management from San Diego State University.  He also holds Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials.  He enjoys boating, fishing, and skiing and lives in Yarmouth with his wife, daughter, and son.
