Jim Ahearne

Associate Director of Partnership Development

Jim Ahearne is associate director of partnership development at the Roux Institute. Ahearne thrives helping the team understand where and how the Roux can best support Maine organizations and businesses through collaborations with our students and faculty.

Ahearne’s orientation towards bringing people together was forged in the live music industry. He worked with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Concerts for the Environment, and MTV before forming his own concert promotion company and joining with the legendary Boston-based impresario Don Law to elevate the concert scene in Maine. Prior to joining the Roux Institute, his roles included directing the Common Ground Country Fair for Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, designing the summer concert venue at Thompson’s Point, and leading national marketing for a local design-build studio. Ahearne holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hobart College and in keeping with his appetite for life-long learning, is a Northeastern student working on a Master of Science in Project Management.

An avid cyclist, skier, and proud ‘Pops’ of two amazing daughters, Ahearne and his wife live in Freeport.
