Liz Kohler
Managing Director of Strategy, Operations and Growth
Liz Kohler is the Managing Director of Strategy, Operations & Growth at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute. Kohler was a founding member of the partnerships team and helped to define the Roux Institute’s partnership approach that emphasizes deep collaboration across sectors to drive innovation, talent development, and economic growth. Currently, Kohler leads select strategic initiatives and partnerships focused on growth and oversees the operations and marketing functions of the institute.
Kohler joined Northeastern after spending seven years at a non-profit start-up graduate school of education, Relay GSE, focused on diversifying the teacher pipeline and training transformative school leaders. She has worked in program management, strategy, operations, and partnership roles at high growth organizations in the non-profit and K12 sectors. Kohler started her career as a Teach For America corps member in South Texas and later worked for a member of Congress in constituent relations.
Kohler holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cornell University, a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Goucher College. Kohler is based in the Midcoast region of Maine.
