Liz Kohler

Managing Director of Strategy, Operations and Growth

Liz Kohler is the managing director of strategy, operations and growth at the Roux Institute. Kohler was a founding member of the partnerships team in 2020 and helped to define the Roux Institute partnership model focused on economic impact for Maine and delivering mutual value for partners and the Roux Institute. Currently, Kohler leads the institute’s efforts to ensure that industry partners have a workforce prepared to win in an economy dominated by data through customized workforce upskilling programs in critical computational domains including analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Kohler joined Northeastern after spending over a decade in high-growth K12-serving organizations. Most recently, Kohler spent seven years at a non-profit start-up graduate school of education, Relay GSE, focused on diversifying the teacher pipeline and training transformative school leaders. She started her career as a Teach For America corps member in South Texas.

Kohler holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cornell University, a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Goucher College. Kohler lives in beautiful Brunswick, Maine with her family.
