Michaela Monahan is Director of Partnerships, Research & Innovation at the Roux Institute. In her role, Michaela advances strategic research and innovation partnerships between industry, startups, public institutions, and the Roux Institute, with a focus on AI, human-data-interaction, and advanced manufacturing.

Michaela joined the Roux Institute from a career in strategy consulting for the life sciences and medical technology industry. During her consulting career, she advised senior medical device, diagnostics, digital health and biopharma leaders on winning commercial strategies backed by data and insights — including new market opportunities, product innovation, and corporate development. She started her career working in the nonprofit world in New York City.

Michaela holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a BA from Colgate University. She is a proud resident of Portland, Maine and loves to explore all of the beautiful natural places the state has to offer.
