Tracey Spinato

Director for Experiential Education

Tracey Spinato is the Director for Experiential Education at the Roux Institute. In her role, Spinato leads the Experiential Learning Team and is responsible for the development and oversight of experiential education opportunities for learners across all academic programming. Spinato and her team work with learners and industry partners to generate mutually beneficial and dynamic opportunities through cooperative education (co-op), experiential network projects (XNs), and fulltime job placement. Prior to her current position, Spinato served as a career and co-op advisor for Khoury College at the Roux.

Spinato joined the Roux Institute after working for over a decade at the intersection of social work, public health, and higher education. She is experienced in developing, evaluating, and scaling community-based programming and is passionate about creating pathways to help communities thrive. Spinato is also a licensed clinical social worker with expertise in immigration evaluations and counseling. She has served as adjunct faculty at Tulane University and the University of New England.

Spinato holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Tulane University School of Social Work, and a BA in Literature from Ramapo College.
