BioCoLab is a fully equipped life sciences lab offering dedicated bench space, flexible coworking memberships, and fee-for-service contract research — alongside a built-in talent pipeline, a graduate education program, and an active ecosystem that connects you with investors, partners, and peers. Everything you need to move your science forward, under one roof, at a fraction of the cost of building it yourself.
Wet lab bench space available inside the USM Science Building, directly adjacent to the BioCoLab. Leased through the University of Southern Maine.
Ideal For:
Reserve time in the BioCoLab on a monthly membership basis. Flexible tiers available for 10,20, or 30 hours per month, with 3, 6, or 12-month terms.

Northeastern Portland biotechnology students train directly on capital equipment inside theBioCoLab, earning hands-on experience in cell biology, microbiology, and molecular biology alongside live company projects.
Roux Institute students embed with member companies and Northeaster faculty to execute lab projects, contributing research value while developing the professional skills employers demand in biotech.
