Special Housing Opportunity for Incoming Students

The Roux Institute has a new housing opportunity available for newly admitted students enrolled to begin in January 2024.

Learn and Live in the Heart of Portland

Starting now, newly enrolled Roux Institute students have exclusive early access to brand-new, furnished apartment units located in the heart of Portland, walking-distance from our campus. Northeastern University has secured a limited number of newly constructed apartment units in Portland, which we’re making available to new students who will join the Roux Institute in January 2024.

The units, which vary in occupancy, lease terms, and price, will come equipped with furniture and amenities including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and refrigerator. These apartments are located in the heart of Portland’s West End neighborhood, known as a quiet residential area that is walking distance from the Roux Institute at Northeastern’s waterfront campus and just steps away from the city’s famous restaurants, arts venues, and shopping district.

Living in close proximity to other Roux learners, students will have access to a strong Roux community and an easy, walkable commute to campus events, student interest groups, classes, and social engagements. The availability of these units is limited, and will be available to new students on a first-come, first-served basis.

Secure Your Housing Now

Due to increasing demand on inventory, securing area housing can be challenging. Northeastern is excited to present this opportunity to offer a convenient, fixed rate, furnished housing solution for our incoming students. We offer diverse unit configurations, with no employment or reference checks required.

The Roux Institute only has access to a set number of dedicated units for incoming students, which will be available on a first-come, first-served application basis. As we do expect all units to lease out quickly, it’s important to secure your spot as soon as possible.
