Lauren Sharples

Communications and Key Initiatives Manager

Lauren Sharples is the Communications & Key Initiatives Manager at the Roux Institute. Sharples joined the Roux’s Administrative Office in 2024. She leads the Institute’s internal communications strategy and execution, oversees strategic projects, and supports the Chief Administrative Officer and Managing Director, Strategy, Operations and Growth.

Sharples joined Northeastern after working in internal communications, learning and development, and employee experience at multiple global organizations. Sharples’ roles included supporting global talent enablement and corporate communications at a SaaS-based clinical research company, as well as learning and development and internal communications for Fortune 250 leading employee benefits companies. She is passionate about developing employee experience and communications strategies that engage, inform, and empower multi-generational, asynchronous, tech-enabled workforces and supporting collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture.

Sharples holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing & Publishing from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. She is anticipating a Master’s of Science in Corporate & Organizational Communications from Northeastern University, College of Professional Studies in June 2024. Sharples is a voracious reader. She lives in Westbrook, Maine with her family.
