Margaret Angell

Head of Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives

Before joining the Roux Institute, Angell served as the deputy director of the Institute for Digital Engineering and Life Sciences (IDEALS), working to bring a de novo world-class graduate school to Portland. Prior to joining IDEALS, she consulted with a variety of transformational educational organizations, including 2Revolutions, Next Generation Learning Challenges, 1776, and CityBridge Foundation. Angell has held positions at DC Public Schools and Boston Public Schools. A graduate of the Broad Residency in Urban Education, she also served as a White House Fellow.

Angell has an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School, and a BA in economics from Harvard University. She lives in the Portland area with her husband and two daughters.
