Tim Breton

Tim Breton is an associate professor of biology at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF).  Breton has expertise in comparative genomics and fish physiology, publishing papers related to oocyte development, sex change in fish, and novel hormone receptor characterizations, as part of the Maine-INBRE program.  At UMF, Breton teaches anatomy and physiology, developmental biology, and basic bioinformatics.  He has been involved in several educational initiatives across Maine and beyond, including student research experiences in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute SEA-PHAGES program and the Maine-eDNA grant.
