Walid Saba

Senior Principal Research Scientist, EAI

Walid Saba is a senior principal research scientist at the Institute for Experiential AI (EAI) where he is focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Knowledge Graphs.

Before joining EAI, Walid was a senior scientist at Sorcero, a principal AI scientist at Astound, and the CTO of Klangoo, the developer of Magnet – a digital content semantic engine. Previously, Walid held various positions at such places as the American Institutes for Research, AT&T Bell Labs, IBM, and Cognos.  He has spent 7 years in academia where he taught computer science at the University of Ottawa, the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), the University of Windsor, and the American University of Beirut (AUB). Saba has published over 45 technical articles, including an award-winning paper that he presented at the German Artificial Intelligence Conference (KI-2008). Walid received his BSc and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Windsor, and a PhD in Computer Science from Carleton University in 1999.
